With residents still reeling from the increase in this year's property taxes, the town's Budget Committee voted Tuesday night to hold the line in 2007.
The committee voted 10 to 4 to cut $1.8 million from the selectmen's recommended budget to hold spending to the amount in this year's default budget of $23.6 million. Several committee members said they voted as they did because selectmen are not getting the message that taxpayers are fed up.
